MenuWiz Downloads

Two versions of Menuwiz are available:
  1. A Full version. This is for new users only. This version includes a starter database, recipe images and cooking instruction ringtones. If you want to retain your old copy of these, DO NOT use this version.
  2. An Update version. This includes only the MenuWiz program. When you run this your old database is upgraded to the new version, keeping your existing data intact.

The screens shown assumes that you use Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9. If you use different software, the screens may be different.

Install Full Version

  1. Ensure that your system meets the requirements specified in Requirements.
  2. Download the full version zip file from the "Download Full Version" link below. The screen below will be displayed.

    You can save the zip file in any folder on your computer by selecting "Save as". If you select "Save", Windows will save it in your default download directory. Do not select "Open".

  3. If you selected your own folder for the download, double click the downloaded zip file in that folder. If you selected the Windows default download folder, open that folder and select the "Open"option.

  4. Click on "Extract all files". The screen below should be displayed.
  5. Enter the folder where you want your copy of Menuwiz to be installed and then click on the Extract button.

    Note: Do not install MenuWiz in the "C:\Program Files" folder. If you enter simply "C:\", or any other folder on the C (or any other drive) where you have your own data.

  6. You may want to create a shortcut on your desktop for MenuWiz. To do this, locate the file MenuWiz.exe in the folder where MenuWiz was installed and right click on it. Select "Create Shortcut from the dropdown list. A shortcut will be created in the MenuWiz folder. Drag the shortcut to your desktop.
  7. The "Overview" topic in the Menuwiz Help has a list of tasks which you may find helpful to get started. You can select the Help from the button on the MenuWiz ribbon.

    Note: You may get the following message when you try to use Help: "Navigation to the Web Page was cancelled". This is a Microsoft security guard that blocks help pages that was downloaded from the Internet. To fix this do the following:

    • Locate the file MenuWiz.chm in the Menuwiz folder.
    • Right click on it and select "Properties".
    • Click on "Unblock" on the Properties screen.
    • Click OK.
  8. Your installation of MenuWiz is now completed.

Install Update Version

  1. Download the update version zip file from the Download Update Version link below. You can save the install program in any folder on your computer. The screen below will be displayed.

  2. If you selected your own folder for the download, double click the downloaded zip file in that folder. If you selected the Windows default download folder, open that folder and select the "Open"option.

  3. Click on "Extract all files". The screen below should be displayed.
  4. Enter the folder where your existing copy of Menuwiz is and then click on the Extract button.
  5. If prompted, select the option to overwrite existing files.
  6. Your upgrade of MenuWiz is now completed.
